Do heat pumps work in Ontario winters?
Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps are specifically engineered for temperatures down to -25C and below. They lose some efficiency in extreme cold but continue to produce heat. For the coldest days, a hybrid system with a backup furnace is a popular choice.
How much does a heat pump cost?
